Welcome to my blog, a place where I share some of my thoughts and experiences. People live because they think, act, feel, and believe and so do I. Making (some of) them public is to get feedback from those who read, as they may also want to give me feedback.
My name is Neil. I am a lecturer at Dept. of Management, Satya Wacana Christian University, in Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesia. My specific area of interests is Strategic International Human Resource Management, an application of Strategic HRM in the context of multinational companies (MNCs). Within this particular area, my current research interest is on the construction of HR systems within subsidiaries of multinational companies in Indonesia. Themes includes in this subject are such as the diffusion of HR ideas and models, connectivity among HR actors and between actors and institutional logics. Within this area some major theoretical frameworks are for example the resource-based view of the firm (RBV), institutional theory, and micro-politics of actors. I however open myself to learn from different perspectives to enrich myself and I believe will enrich the field. I am also interested in organisational studies, leadership, change management, and also in higher education and adult pedagogy.
I am currently doing my PhD at Department of Business, Faculty of Economics and Business, Macquarie University in Sydney. I am in my third year and expected to finish the program by Sept 2011. I am now writing a few papers that will make up my thesis. Two of papers were presented at International HRM Conferences, at Aston Business School, Birmingham and another paper will be at EGOS Colloquium in Lisbon on July 1.

Yang baru yang bagaimana scape? Kalau baru itu terkait posting baru, yang sabar ya.. time consuming juga nih he he he… Kalau yang baru itu menyangkut ide-ide, mudah-mudahan bergulirnya waktu ada sesuatu yang ‘baru’ yang ditawarkan tetapi barangkali apa yang lebih diperlukan adalah konsisten aja kok (walau unsur dan sifat kebaruan pun penting)… he he he… salam!
